Blue Mug with a cold killer hot drink

I swear by this recipe. I use it for myself just when I start to feel my body fighting something and have recommended it to many of my clients with great success. It is truly magical and works.

Adjust the ingredients to your taste buds’ liking and if something is missing from this cocktail – no worries. As long as you have some of these in your mug – the magic will still happen.

Ingredients:

1/4 tsp -1 tsp of fresh minced garlic (up to you how much you want to smell)
1/4 tsp -1 tsp of freshly minced or grated ginger
A generous squeeze of lemon or lime juice ( if organic can toss it in with the rind)
A dash of cayenne pepper
A dash of black pepper
A pinch of sea salt
1 cup of hot water
1 tsp of raw honey (optional)
Bonus points: if you can find fresh turmeric and add 1/4 tsp of it minced

Method:

Add all the ingredients together and sip away to health!

Notes:

I use all of the above ingredients and skip the honey to reduce sugar consumption, but if the drink is too potent for you without it – go ahead and sweeten the deal, so that you can get the rest of the goodies into your body.

When you get to the bottom of your mug, feel free to eat the garlic and ginger! That’s bonus anti-viral and anti-bacterial points. Bam! Everything is now dead! Congratulations!

  • Garlic is my go to, for full spectrum anti-microbial and anti-fungal.
  • Cayenne is curcumin-rich. It is analgesic (pain relieving) and will crank up the heat in your body to speed up enzyme work to clean up.
  • Ginger contains gingerols, strong anti-inflammatory compounds, and like cayenne, is a painkiller.
  • Lemon/lime is a great addition. Lemonene (lemon oil) aids in liver detoxification and the vitamin C acts as an anti-histamine in consistent dosing.
  • Turmeric is anti-inflammatory.
