Makes 1 cup
Savory creamy dipping sauce enhances the flavor of any sushi roll.
3 Tbs raw tahini
3 Tbs red miso
1 clove garlic
2 Tbs chopped green onion
1Tbs shredded or finely minced ginger
2 umeboshi plums, or 1 Tbs umeboshi plum paste
1/2 fresh squeezed orange juice
1/4 fresh water or more for desired consistency
Optional: pinch of sesame seeds or minced green onion for garnish
In a blender, blend all ingredients until smooth. Add a few more tablespoons of fresh water if a thinner consistency is desired. Serve in dipping bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onion.
